I'm not sure where to put this thread. So I'm sticking it in the travel section since sleeping bags usually deal with camping and camping deals with traveling. So now for my question, what type of sleeping bag would you recommend for cold weather, like 40 degrees and below? Do good sleeping bags exist for this kind of weather or do you have pad them with lots of blankets to keep out the cold. I've heard of people using tarp, but I'm not sure why. Are there specific brands that cater to this sort of winter camping? I'm thinking that frequent ski-ers would know a lot about this stuff...
I would look for sleeping backs at an army or hunting store. Because usually there you will find everything you need for all types of weather and different conditions. Maybe even a camping store. l wouldn't know of a specific type but I do know that these places do have equipment with the changes of the weather. I hope you find what your looking for. Have a great day.
