Who has the best fresh fruit? There is a lot of conversation (commercials) on Walmart's fresh fruit. In my estimation, it is not very fresh or tasty. I've found Logli has beautiful presentation and their fruit is fresh but they are so expensive!
Farmer's Markets are almost over but I haven't had good luck there either. Do you have any suggestions for me?

The best place to buy fruit and vegetables where I live is the local market. The market offers great value on fresh produce when compared to the supermarkets.

The prices for fruit and vegetables has gone up by 30% in the past few years and shopping at the local market has saved me a good amount of money.

Once the markets are over we go straight to the farms. There are maps online that will find them all in your area (depending where you live i suppose). You won't find a better place.. the produce in grocery stores aren't good for you. No point in eating things practically devoid of it's original nutritional value and injected and coated with ick. Support your local farms as much as possible.. the industry needs to go back to them :) Just my opinion.

I would recommend to go to places like the whole foods supermarket or anything near you that sells. It's always the independent markets that have be the best fruit because they have been grown most likely with fewer chemicals (or so we like to think). Either way it is important to smell the produce for freshness before buying.

Walmart has the worst fruit and veggie selection if you ask me there has been many of times where I have gone to get some fruits and veggies and found them to be no good or have almost gone bad already. I get my fruits and veggies at Aldi's they just built it about a month ago but I love how fresh their fruits and veggies are. So if you have one near your area I highly suggest Aldi's

My favorite places to buy fresh vegetables are Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. Trader Joe's has a limited selection and sells a lot of packaged vegetables. I have recently started buying my veggies from Whole Foods. The quality is top notch. I do pay a little extra though.

Walmart quality really depends on the neighborhood. There are some Walmart local grocery stores (not the superstore) that sells a great selection of organic produce.

I personally buy fruit from Walmart, although I doubt they have the best fruit available. Walmart does have great tasting fruit though, for those who always have a craving for something healthy. I recommend buying fruits from Walmart.

I favor organic produce at my local grocer, Wegmans. You can also find a lot of local farmers selling their organic produce at farmers markets and roadside stands along various routes in rural areas of my states. I avoid Tops, Aldi's, Walmart and Piggly Wiggly for produce because they lack an organic selection. Really, though, you are best served growing your own in a garden.
