Seriously. Whenever I google restaurant coupons, subway coupons or red lobster coupons Restaurant.com always comes up. I have been looking at this site now for awhile trying to figure it out. So heres the deal they offer gift certificates for less than the actual price ex. 50 dollar cert for 20 dollars. But the problem I have with them is the fine print always says something like minimum order 100 dollars?! Are you serious? What kind of deal is that? And you have to actually sit in at some of these places...Yea no thanks. What are your opinions or experiences with Restaurant.com?

The only coupon I received from them was a gift from another site. I did have to buy 2 meals in order to get the $25 off. However, my husband and I went together and we truly did save money. I personally don't like to pay for a coupon that states that I need to spend a certain amount to get a percentage off. I guess the only way to truly figure out if you are saving is to caculate how much your average order is when you eat there. For example: My family normally spends $80 when we go to Red Lobster, so if we had to spend $100 before we could get that $25 off it would not be a good deal for us. We would end up wasting a lot of food. Personally, I just perfer to wait until the restaurant runs a promotion.

I think the key with these is the same as any other coupon really. If you wouldn't be buying that product anyway, then a coupon isn't really saving you much or gaining you anything. So with things like the restaurant bit, if you're not going to be going to the restaurants anyway, then no, they're not worth it. If you regularly go out, then sure, it's nice to find a discount for it here or there. Remember that if there's a purchase requirement, you can always go with family or friends, too.

I know I can go with friends I just don't like the way Restaurant.com is promoted. Its being passed off like this really great money saving website. I log into this website for my job which frequently posts different perks and one of them was from that website. It was get a 25 dollar gift cert for 3 dollars....but the requirements and details were ridiculous.

I love your advice! If it isn't something you already use, how are you saving money by buying it? Very, very good tip!

I use it a lot. A lot of times you can spend $5 to get $10 worth of food or something like that. I generally find the coupons comparable. For example, you usually hav eto spend about 2x the coupon to use it. SO I don't go for the $50 coupons, rather go for hte $10 ones as I know I'll spend $20 easily.

There is a game at Restaurant.com. They will lower and higher the prices during a cycle. You have to get the ones at 80 percent off to get the best deal. I only used the service once. It is difficult to find any dining places that I am familiar with on their list. The restaurants that are listed are usually in another town and are not that well known. You end up taking a chance. We went to a little restaurant in another city and we were pleased. We would never have gone there because it was so high priced for what they served. With our discount, it was worth trying. My daughter just got some certificates without asking me. She paid too much for them because they were at their highest price at the time. One of the places she picked was a restaurant serving Indian food. I am curious to see how she likes it.
Register with Restaurant.com. They will send you the deals that they offer and the percent off on a regular basis. If you want to try it, pay the lowest amount. Wait for it to cycle to 80 percent off!

Well, with these, you always have to pick and choose your spots.

Sometimes, the deals are legit and they really ARE deals. But you have those times when something on Restaurant.com is advertised as a deal, but you come to find out it really isn't.

The best advice to give here is that don't use just them alone. Compare with others.

I've had the same experience. The only time I've ever used restaurant.com was for a little known sushi restaurant on the East Side. It was $25 off with a minimum $35 spent which didn't include alcohol. All in all, my husband and I ended up spending $90 there. Granted, it was great food and probably would have been worth it had we planned on spending that kind of money, but certainly not much of a deal.

I only buy the $25 gift certificates and only when they are on sale for $2. Otherwise I don't bother. I know that they have minimums for how much you should order at the restaurant but I usually only buy them when I am planning on taking some other people with me. We bought one for a local seafood restaurant and took my inlaws with us. It think we saved quite a bit. But I wouldn't buy them often. I hate when I find the occastion to buy one, all of my favorite restaurants are sold out =/

I love using restaurant.com. You can save money but you need to look at which restaurants you actually go to. You also need to look at the minimum amount that you need to spend to use the coupon. Some restaurants have a lower minimum than others do. Also if you go with a larger party, depending on the type of restaurant it is, it is easy to spend $100.00. I really enjoy using restaurant.com. I just check to see which restaurant really interests me and I took to see what the minimum is that you need to order. You can save money when you use restaurant.com.

Yep, like others said, it's not a deal if you aren't going to spend that much anyway. Personally, I almost never go out to eat so I couldn't really use any of them. But, if I did, I'd probably only browse the site occasionally. I don't think I'm their target audience. I'm far too much of a spendthrift to ever spend that much on a meal unless I had a crowd with me.

Well I would use the coupons from restaurant.com to use at only one restraunt that me and my husband liked. The bill was reduces drastically when we sent to Houligan's. However, they removed the coupons for that restaurant from the website and the restraunt closed down that was in are area so I have not been there in probably a year now.

Restaurants.com is good if you are going to a restaurant anyway. Do not go out of the way to get a restaurant.com coupon. I spent $6 total on two $25 coupons, but you have to read the requirements and limits before using the coupon. I knew I was going to that restaurant twice. I knew I was going to spend $50, so for me, to be able to spend $3 to save $25 was well worth it. You will not get that kind of price for the coupons directly through Restaurant.com. You have to go to DontPayFull.com to get the even more reduced rate for the coupons. Otherwise, it may not be worth it.
