I have just started an account here. Just wanted to check before I get started accepting articles. Are there a lot of rejected articles or mostly accepted? Are there any other guidelines not listed I should know about?

Thanks in advance for your help!

I enjoy writing, and I think I'm pretty good at it:) Can you give me some more information about this site? From what you've written, I understand that you are asked to write articles. Can you write about any topic or just what they want you to write about? How much do they pay?

    Thanks for any information!

Yes, yes yes, articles definitely get rejected there often. Keep an eye on the rejection rate on the side description of the job. It will tell you how often articles get rejected or accepted. I only wrote two articles on iWriters and gave up. Both of my articles were rejected when those articles would get accepted elsewhere. I have even turned the two articles into other sites and they got accepted.

I strongly recommend Textbroker. It is great for people just starting out and many people have had good experiences with them.

I write for iwriter and also get articles written as well. The logic is very simple. If your article is a good quality one, has relevant information, and is not a rewritten or, spun article from an already existing article somewhere on the web, your article should get accepted. No reason why it will get rejected.
Since I buy articles I know that almost 80% of the articles that get submitted by writers are either off-topic or, is a rewritten or, spun version of another article. I promptly reject them. So I am sure a lot of other people might also be doing the same.

I had a bad experience with iWriter. I wrote 3 articles and all were "not approved". I know I'm not the best writer but i think my articles were decent enough. I truly feel like they used me for my articles which
I have heard others say before. I might try again but I'm not sure.

I applied for tb website, watched their tutorial on how to write and pick up article to write, but then when I started looking at the rejection rates I kind of got discouraged. Also, kost subjects they ask to write for, I don't have any interest or experience with.... so I have an account there but never even tried to write anything. After reading some of the comments here, I'm actually glad I didn't waste my time!

You'd do better to open your own account on

    .

You get credit for everything you do, and you get paid for your own success. You can promote your Hubs as much or as little as you want, and if you land on a gem (that gets picked up by Google) it can pay you daily even though you never go back and add to it.

I have put very little work into this (2 hours a week on a good week, but many weeks I do absolutely nothing) and I've made as much as $60 a month and as little as $10. They pay via paypal when you hit $50. Getting there is slow going, but once you do, it is pretty regular payment. My best advice is to go for quantity AND quality. Both are rewarded.

Just try to write about stuff you're interested in. Writing about something you know nothing about is easily detectable by the reader.

I've heard horror stories about iwriters! But if you like that type of work I would also look into Textbroker.com. You won't get rich, but you can make like $6 an article on the low end, and maybe $20 an article if someone puts it out there. You have to submit a sample and they rate you, usually level 3 or 4. You want to shoot for level for because that's where most the articles are. you also have to submit a form saying you understand that they will notify tax bureau if you make more than $600 a year. But other than those annoying logistics, you can usually get started in about a week or so from the time you submit a writing sample. You get paid once a week.

Thanks for all of the information on iwriters, I had just learned about the site a few days ago. You have all saved me a lot of aggravation and the trouble of going through the registration process. i do know about Textbroker too but they have a much better reputation thatn iwriter does.

    ways to make money

Thanks for talking about HubPages. I will check it out. There are so many places to work, but a lot of them take a long time. I have seen places where they will pay you two cents for your comments. I know that many people want to make money doing things online, and I guess that is why the pay is so low. Too many people competing for the same types of jobs. I read that the best advice is to sell items on your own site. I think that is the best idea yet.
