Anyone for stevia or xylitol as a natural sweet alternative?

I don't like sugar and I am allergic to honey. So I went and looked for some alternatives to make my life sweeter. I came across stevia and xylitol. I did some research on both of them and apparently they are safe in small doses. Both are sugar substitutes but they taste a lot sweeter than sugar. Stevia is a herb native to subtropical and tropical regions from western North America to South America. Xylitol, I read on Wikipedia, is naturally found in low concentrations in the fibers of many fruits and vegetables, and can be extracted from various berries, oats, and mushrooms, as well as fibrous material such as corn husks and sugar cane.
They use it a lot in chewing gum and as diabetic sweeteners. You can buy both in supermarkets now, but I am sceptic about their quality.
