Whenever I buy boxed macaroni and cheese, I always buy Annie's because at least it is organic, and it tastes much better than the Kraft variety. I can get them on sale a few times a year at the grocery store for a dollar each, and so I always stock up. I add sour cream to mine and reduce the amount of milk by half and it gives it a very creamy sharp cheddar taste.
I like boxed mac and cheese and I have Annie's before, but never noticed that much difference. I use soy milk and more water to make mine, but I like Kraft and there is always somewhere that has it on special. They are handy to have when you need a snack, but the danger is to reach for them when you can't think of anything else to cook.
