I've never heard of the Sausage Stuffed Crust before, that sounds really good. When did that have it? I've never had a Bacon Cheeseburger Pizza at Pizza Hut, but I have had it before somewhere else. I love it! I'm always amazed at how many different pizzas there are available.
I advise you to try it yourself. Just because some of us didn't like it, that doesn't mean that you won't end up loving it. I think I would have liked it more if the bacon was either more crisp, or it was bigger pieces in the crust. Try it and make up your own mind, that's the only way I could decide for myself.
I usually love bacon, but I think that the bacon they used for the crust has a different flavor to it. I haven't been able to place it quite yet. I feel like it is either a smoke flavor or something like that. I know that they do extensive taste-testing of the products before the official launches, but I feel like they need to re-test this one. I've read a lot of bad reviews on the crust, but I've also read many good reviews. I suppose it all depends on the person eating it.
It almost reminded me of fake bacon. It was a bacon overload and it just didn't taste as good as I was expecting. Maybe I had a bad batch as well, though it seems like it was a common issue with many of us. I thought it would be crunch bacon as well and I was so disappointed. The cheese and bacon just didn't work together. We ended up pulling/cutting the crust off the pizza and putting it to the side. The only way we could eat it was later when we dipped (more like smothered) the pieces in pizza sauce. It was the only thing that toned down the flavor.
I've never had this, but from the sounds of it it's right up my alley. I don't eat at Pizza Hut very often so that's probably why I've never had it. But I'm a huge fan of pizza and bacon so I'll have to give it a try at some point in the near future.
