Has anybody ever tried one of these holidays? I can see the attraction if you are a family, ie pay one lump sum and all your drinks and meals are free but what are the restrictions? Do people get bored having to spend their whole time at the hotel complex? Do they actually work out cheaper in the long run than paying resort prices? Any hints and tips appreciated..

It's definitely cheaper if you have a large family, or you're staying in an expensive destination. And you don't have to stay around the hotel - you're entitled to ask for a packed lunch as part of the deal, although obviously it won't be as good as the lunch served in the dining room. We've done a few all inclusive breaks, and really enjoyed them all. If you're on a tight budget, it's a good way to travel.

Sometimes offers like that are too good to be true. I'd research well more before I pay for it especially if it comes from an online deal. Lots of web frauds these days, it's best to be sure.
