To be honest, I haven't really seen such big price reductions in the supermarkets that I frequent. And if I did, I would be highly suspicious of the products, wondering about where they come from, whether they contain GMO's or other nasty things, such as potentially toxic additives. Basically, my first inclination is to feel dubious about any major price reductions, and I almost never buy into it. Another thing I would immediately check is the expiry date.
Yeah, when the discount is too big we can be suspicious, but this has been the practice here for some time now, good reliable products present these discounts and when this happen we just need to buy them if we want to save money.
